Adam began his run on February 15, 2016, in Huntington Beach, California. His goal was to set the new Guinness World Record for the Fastest Crossing of the USA On Foot, a record that has stood for over 36 years.
Why Did He Do It?
To inspire, push the limits, and raise awareness.
To inspire…people all over the world to pursue their passions and trust in the call given to them, accomplishing things they never thought they could do. Anything is possible with faith and hard work.
To push the limits…of his mind and body, relentlessly giving everything he had to accomplish my goal.
To raise awareness…for i2P and the incredible things they are doing to educate, inspire and empower the next generation, so that they will not be afraid to push beyond their perceived limits and achieve the “impossible.”
Did He Do It?
Did he set the record? Unfortunately, no. Due to a variety of unfortunate injuries, the timeline had to be adjusted. However, Adam was successful in his attempt to cross the USA on foot and finished his 2,500 mile run in 60 days. While he did not achieve his goal of setting a new world record, he did achieve his goal of inspiring people all over the world, pushing the limits of his body and mind and raising awareness for i2P!
Two filmmakers set out with Adam and his crew to film his adventure. Learn more about the documentary here.
